With the introduction of microfilm to the range of products, LexCom begins proprietary development of technical documentation solutions. Our new microfilm database and the first fully electronic microfiche generator are utilized by the German postal service for telephone information and Volkswagen for spare parts management, among other clients.

The level of challenges remains high: A new state-of-the-art content management system enables “real time editing” for the first time. This drastically improves the currentness of the information.

1989
Worldwide launch of the electronic parts catalog based on LexCom solutions. ETKA for all Volkswagen models from 1947 already enables real time performance on 386 PCs.

1996
The growing volume of orders allows the company to expand and develop into a global player.

2004
The founding of LexCom Japan Y.K. is the next step in development of LexCom Group into a multinational corporation.
